Student Profile

We develop targeted training programs for personnel involved with search and rescue, military, EMS, fire department, law enforcement, Off Shore/Oil Rigs and other emergency services that wish to utilize helicopters to perform rescue operations.

Format

Priority 1 Air Rescue's Helicopter Rescue/Special Operations training is offered in four different course formats to meet the meet our customer's specific training needs.

  • Option 1:  Basic Helicopter Rescue Program
  • Option 2: Advanced Mission Helicopter Rescue Program
  • Option 3: Helicopter Special Operations Program
  • Option 4: Custom Course

The training syllabuses are composed of 9 modules designed to train personnel involved in helicopter rescue and special operations in order to produce qualifed Heli-Technicians to meet operational requirements and FAA and Transport Canada Standards.

These comprehensive training programs combine classroom instruction and intensive hands on field operations with access to qualified and progressive Heli-Tech aircrew instructors providing clear direction and leadership.

Students will be issued a Priority 1 Air Rescue manual or pre-read CD, the emphasis is on encouraging participants to build a strong foundation prior to commencing the training and become knowledgeable in the principles and concepts of helicopter safety and human external cargo.

The training syllabus also includes ground school, static aircraft, demonstration and flight training, practice simulations and challenge scenarios.

Extensive technical and emergency procedures training is provided.

Certification

A Certificate will be issued to students who successfully complete the required program performance standards.  On successful completion, students will received certification to FAA (FARS), JAR-OPS, and Transport Canada (CARS) training.
