Priority 1 Air Rescue's class curriculum is comprised of ground school, fundamental rappel procedures, written exam, tower rappel, helicopter rappel and rappel emergency/SAR scenarios.

For each Aerial Gunnery Training Program, the training course is customized to the agencies mission (i.e, offshore or inland as well as the types of "target of interests" TOIs that are commonly intercepted.)  P1AR aerial gunnery experience and training curriculum also provides training on the following:

Fast Rope

Fast-roping is a technique for descending a thick rope and is useful for deploying law enforcement personnel from a helicopter in places where the helicopter itself is unable or unwilling to touch down. Fast Roping is quicker than rappelling, although more dangerous, particularly if the person is carrying a heavy load, because the rope is not attached to them with a descender.

Priority 1 Air Rescue's class curriculum is comprised of ground school, fundamental fast rope procedures, written exam, static fast rope exercises, helicopter fast rope and helicopter fast rope emergency/SAR scenarios.

Priority 1 Air Rescue offers an initial helicopter fast rope course.
